Toys

I bought a couple toys today. Well a cool shirt and a toy.

The shirt I bought says "reverse engineer" backwards. I figured with all the reverse engineering I have done for Interbank FX and I can forsee myself continuing doing I deserved it. Here is a blip from www.thinkgeek.com site about the shirt.

An elite brand of coder, the reverse engineer usually takes a finished product (generally compiled or in a propietary format), and through a variety of techniques, is able to understand the inner workings and to apply that understanding in a variety of ways... reverse engineer t-shirt

I also got a toy cubicle because I think it is funny, and I want to spruce up my cube. Cube

Proposal

Just got off the phone with Lanny. The expert advisor worked perfectly. That makes me feel pretty good that everything worked how it was supposed to, and the only time that it didn't work properly was when something happened that I did not forsee. Lanny and Ron what to watch the expert for a few days to see if there is any fine tuning before selling it to the public.

Proposal

Talked with Lanny about the proposal today. (Seem to call him somewhat regulary latly.) After I get the first script done, which I beleive I got rid of the only bug it had today a little oversight of a state that could happen, I will have an opertunity to receive 20% instead of 10% of the gross revenue, if I figure out the second project before he does. Let the race beggin. I plan to use my back tester that I am working on slowly. It will be a good inital test for it. I have bits and peices of it done, that are ready for disibution when the other portions are done.

Interbank FX

Saddly I had to go into work today. Finished writing a program to fix the historical bars for MT3 and MT4 using tick data for Interbank FX on Friday. Did not run it then, because I did not think I had time to run it before my date, which cancelled. So The MT4 serever and MT3 66.114.105.84:1950 servers have perfect historical bars as when I left work today.

LDSPromise & Comcast Dating OnDemand

Went to the dance at Thanksgiving Point. LDSPromise and Comcast were offering to do a dating video for free, so I figured why not. At first I was a bit aprahensive about it. But after I told the guy shooting it I wanted to start over, I started to have a lot of fun with it. I wanted to keep doing it, but my time was up. Not sure what to do with it yet, but here is my On Demand Code, Profile Code, D0VR2. I did find a place to enter it on www.ldspromise.com but it does not display anything for me yet. Which makes sense, it said on some paper work I got that it would take 5-8 working days for it to be posted. I hope I will get a chance to view it some how.

Dating

This really sucks Alaina called and cancelled our date. She said she had to do laundry. I tend to beleive her, but who knows. On top of that the last three dates I have tried to have, all have gone sour.

The Pretender

I just got the second session of "The Pretender" in the mail today. Which is great timing because I watched the last episode from the first session not to long ago. I hope they start selling sessions 3 & 4 soon.

Software

David and I are going to write some trading software together, before we finish my buisness idea. Because of the nature of the software it is best to get it done sooner rather then later, a timing issue, and it will be a simpler project then my buisness idea.

Proposal

Signed and sent agreement in the mail for the buisness proposal some one aprotched me on a few days ago. I also have already started to write some code for it.

Ward Prayer

Went to ward prayer of the new ward with Aaron. I was excited to meet new people but when it came to it I got a bit nervous, it was a big crowd. Alaina, who was also at the ward breakfast came over and started to talk with me. I am glad, because I wanted to chat with her, but the big crowd got to me. We chatted pretty much the whole time after ward prayer. We have a lot in common. We are going to go Swing Dancing together on Friday. I am excited.

Breakfast

Went to a singles ward new member breakfast this morning that Matt talked me into. I was a little neverous about the big crowd. I felt like I did fairly well with socializing with people. I am thinking that moving my membership records to the ward will be good for me.

Fair

Last night I called a girl from LDSPromise.com . We had a fun time on the phone, so I asked her to go to the fair with me. She accepted. But when it came time to go get her, she txted me to let me know that she has been sick all day long. I am just not having very much luck with girls and dates right now. I called up Matt Stanger to see if he wanted to go with me. He did. We had a fun time at the fair. We both got these cool rattling magnics. It was defently worth going to, and I am glad that Smiths would not give me a refound on the tickets.

Proposal

Someone over the net gave me a buisness proposal that I might take him up on. I guess we was impress with the work he has seen me do.

Fair and Jenn

I was supposed to go to the State Fair with Jenn. I don't know why but we did not get together. I went to her house to pick her up and she was not there. I waited for quite a while, her mom came home and said she know that we were supposed to go the fair together. I am hoping what happened that we got mixed up on where and when to meet. But I don't know yet. Either way it hurt that it happened.

Interbank FX & C#

Yesturday I finished writing all the code to do the basics of my first C# program ever for Interbank FX. And today I do some cleaning up of the code to make it easier to use, to follow this adig "Make it work, make it right, make it fast." While doing some chores at Interbank FX, I chatted with the full time programers at Interbank FX. They were very impressed that I learned # over the weekend, and that I hacked the MT3 HST files on my own. One said that would take him a month or more to do, here I did it in a day.

Idea

Meet with David today, like I do every Wed. He is not going to be able to work on the idea as much as he would like to because he just got a job. He still wants to help work on it as of know. I am going to try to find some avenues to fund it.

C# .NET

I could not sleep last night because I was so excited to start working on the buisness idea with David. I stayed up reading over 1,500 pages from two different C# books. The first one was "C# Concisely" by Judith Bishop & Nigel Horspool. And "Professional C# 2nd Edition" by Simon Robinson, K Scott Allen, Ollie Cornes, Jay Glynn, Zach Geenvoss, Buton Harvey, Christian Nagel, Morgan Skinner, Karli Watson. After reading C# Concisely I figured C# and the .NET framework is better then java. But after reading Professional C#, I would say that C# .NET is light years ahead of java.

C#.net vs Java

I have looked prefly at C# in the past before going to java, and I liked the language, but decided to go with java for various reasons. But after working with java for a bit and thinking about what I think will happen in the futor and studing C#.net. I have decided to focus on C#. To me C# is a supior language.

Business Idea

David came over today and we talked more about the business idea. Mainly on some basic struct of the programs assocated with it. With both of our ideas together, we are going to have a great product. After he left, I went to the library to check out some C# books, to get a better grasp of the language. I scimmed one book of 440 pages on C# in about 5 hours.

Ryan

Played unreal with Ryan this morning again. Have not done that for a while. Meet his new baby. And I helped with some of his programing homework in java. We are hoping that we can get back into doing this at a normal rythem like we used to.

Kristie

Kristie came over for a late Birthday dinner. I gave her a glass cat with a fish inside it. I think it looks cut, and she liked it. We also watched a movie as a family, on my laptop.

Trader; java vs C#, Linux vs Windows

In the past I have tried to fight against MS in the Linux vs Windows debate. And was for java against .NET . But currently I have decided to imprace MS for different reasons, but at the same time I feel a little like a trader to the Open Source World. But MS does get things done. They have made some mistakes in the past yes, but I am sure the Open Source World, and Unix, BSD and Linux has made some themselfs, espically in their infancy. Yes, MS is younger then these other solutions, but in my mind, MS is the only one that is activly working on new technoligies. The Open Source seems to only do things to combat what has already been done. I also beleive MS is comited to solve problems when the happen. Also C# is a good language. Another thing that I think is good MS does lay down standards. And the Open Source world does to in different areas. But in some areas Open Source does not lay down stands till after the drift has washed away. And I tend to think right now that MS does studies then sets standards, it gets it done faster. Standards are double edged swords. They are good because people are no longer afaird to do somethings, but at the same time it may inhibit. But I beleive getting people to act out weights the other, as long as they are thought thru standards.

Business Idea

Meet with David, like I do every Wed evening. Talked about a lot of different things. One being an business idea that I have had for a long time, but have not had funding to do. David really likes the idea, so we are going to do it together. Wether or not if we get funding or not. But no funding it will take longer to get it done. Partly because of David's preference and me kinda wanting to switch over to it anyways. I have decided to start using C# instead of java on new projects.

Divorce

I signed some divorce papers today. They were not exactly fair. But I have been trying to make it fair for a long time and the ex just keeps fighting it, which is just costing me more money. I feel like I am the only one that is willing to bend during the marriage and while trying to get out of it. It is annoying.

Vontage

I have been working for Interbank FX for a while now. And to facilitate me calling the customers that I write the expert advisers for, they are getting me a Vontage account. This will work out real nice. Since it is a broadband phone, I will be able to take it any where were there is broadband service. Which will work out great for when I am working at home or at the Interbank FX office.

Laptop

Got my new laptop today from FedEx. I am so excited. I have been spending all my free time today setting it up how I want it. I am impressed with how easy HP has made it to re-install everything and/or re-install only what you want. They defently have improved greatly.

Golfing with Solomon. Running into Trent.

Went to the golf driving range with Solomon. I hit a few real good hits, but for most part I did horriable. But that is okay, I have never had a leason, and I don't really want to practice either. While there ran into Trent Escadon, one of the young men I used to be counsler for. We were excited to see eachother. We are planning to ride our mountian bikes up Muller Canyon soon.

Truck

I got lucky on what was wronge with the truck. The flue pump failed. I had Horners Service on 1700 S 1700 E fix it. (I would recommend them to anyone.) I took it in the morning, and picked it up after work.

Truck

On my home from Interbank FX, my truck had some problems. I had an inkling that something was wronge with the truck, so I took the first freeway exit I could. After doing so, the engine died. I had to push the truck a little ways to get it to the side of the road. My mom picked me up, and I bought some motor oil. After I put that in, the engine started right up. Don't know if that solved the problem or it just cooling of or what, but it started and I was able to drive it home. Later I took it to a grocery store, and it ran fine. But on my home from the gym, it acted funny again. I hope nothing serious is wrong with it, but if there is it will give me a good reason to get another Jeep Wrangler which I have wanted for a long time.

Nola

Saw an old girlfriend when I went to buy some groceries. It was nice to see her again. There is a long story assosated with her. Her husband is one lucky guy.

Kristie

Today is my sister's Birthday.
