GMail

Google Mail just added a feature I have long awaited for. The ability to send from an email as if you sent it from another address.

If you'd like your outgoing Gmail messages to display another one of your email addresses in the 'From:' field (instead of your Gmail address), just follow these easy steps:

1. Log in to your Gmail account.
2. Click 'Settings' along the top of any page, and then select the 'Accounts' tab.
3. Click 'Add another email address' in the 'Send mail as:' section.
4. Enter your full name in the 'Name:' field, and the email address you'd like to send messages from in the 'Email address:' field.

*Keep in mind that each time someone replies to a message you send using a custom 'From:' address, the reply will be delivered to the 'From:' address rather than your Gmail address. If you'd like replies to be delivered to another account, you'll need to enter a 'reply-to' address. Just click 'Specify a different reply-to address' to enter this information.

5. Click 'Next Step >>,' and then click 'Send Verification' to complete the process. Gmail will send a verification message to your other email address to confirm that you'd like to add it to your Gmail account. You'll need to click the link in that message, or enter the confirmation code in the 'Accounts' section of your Gmail account, to complete the process. Once you've verified that you'd like to add the address to your account, you can start sending messages using your custom 'From:' address.

On google's site.

Laptop

My sister Kristie helped me get a deal from an old boy friend of hers to get my laptop power supply fixed almost at their cost.

Laptop

My laptop stopped working this morning. After franticly trying to figure out what happened, chatting with HP.com and going to a few local stores, it seems that my mother board got fried, and will cost about $450.00 to fix. That is no good. I need to think about what I want to do regarding this. Bought a Laptop-HDD to USB converter so I can access my data that was on the laptop.

Work Out

Just got back from doing an intense workout at the gym. Did 3 Chest and 3 Back exersises. Each with 3 reps and 12 sets. I did it all, except the the last rep of the Hammer Press I could only get 8 sets. The rest of it was hard, but I was able to do it. I also beleive my form is getting better.

Bike

Just got my bike back from the bike shop from getting a ruteen tune up. Took it for a short ride. The store tuned it up better then when I first got it. Which is what I figured what happened because the cables were still in the stretching phase.

The Pretender

Just got the first season of The Pretender in the mail. Going to watch the first show right now.

The Pretender

Decided to pre-order the complete second season of The Pretender from Amazon. Can't wait to watch these or the first season.

6 Events

The 3rd chapter talks about acting apon what we know. Taking initivate. Two quotes from the book that summarize this are "When we commit to act upon the knowledge we have gained, going forward and doing what we have committed to do, we learn even more, and we grow in our commitment to follow our learning with out behavior." Then about sharing what we have learned, "This teaching habit will deepen your own understanding and commitment to do."

6 Events

Chapter 2 starts with a quote from Spencer W Kimball about the restoration, "It came about in a regular, normal process." This chapter has two lists which it talks a little about. One on the events of the restoration, and the other on questions we should ask ourselves about were we came from, were we are going, etc.

Camping

I am going camping with some friends from my old Singles Ward today at 1:30 PM. I am taking my mountian bike.

WebMarks

I have wanted to have my WebMarks (BookMarks) stored on an online server, so if anything happens I don't loss all the valuable information. I decided to do something about it. David a friend, recommend Pluck. Looking at it, it basicly had everything I wanted. I want the ability to use the same webmarks on multiple computers with FireFox and IE, and the ability for my friends to look at my webmarks. Currently friends can't access my webmarks, but I can also access my webmarks from a web browser. It is good enuf for me.

Bike

Took my road bike in for a tuneup today. I have had it atleast two months and it was due for it's free tuneup. It is needed because when you first get a bike the cables stretch when you start using it for the first time. While I was there I bought a new bike seat for my mount bike. I have wanted to get a new seat for it for a while, but just hadn't gotten around to it. I bought one just like the one on my road bike. A Avatar Gel 143. It has a big whole in the middle, and two gel spots over my cheak bones. It feels real nice.

Work Out

Instead of having me do one workout 4 times a week, my trainer says I have progressed to the next phase of workingout. He is going to have me do 3 different workouts during the week. One for chest and shoulders, one for my arms, and another for my legs. He went thru the chest and shoulders with me today. I am doing 3 exercises for chest and another 3 for shoulders. With 12 reps, and 3 sets, each. So it is quite a work out.

Creatine

Talk to a friend of mine in who is way into suplements. In fact he virtualy studies this subject every day. Jim Thornton, my friend, tells me that creatine is safe, and is one of the few suplements that accualy work.

The Pretender

Just bought The Complete First Season of The Pretender from Amazon. The Pretender is one of my favorit TV shows of all time.

Review from Amazon:

Jarod (Michael T. Weiss) is a Pretender. As a five-year-old in 1963, he was taken from his home and "adopted" by The Centre, a mysterious Delaware-based think tank. Why Jarod? His superior intellect--Jarod can "pretend" to be anything he wants: doctor, lawyer, engineer, astronaut and, as he quips in episode five ("The Paper Clock"), "I'm working on Indian chief."

Thirty years later, once he realized his efforts were not being used for good, Jarod escaped from the Centre. Psychiatrist and surrogate father Sydney (Carnivàle's velvet-voiced Patrick Bauchau) and sociopathic sidekick and Emma Peel lookalike Miss Parker (ER's Andrea Parker) have been trying to track him down ever since. They’re assisted by the technically proficient, if socially inept Broots (Napoleon Dynamite's Jon Gries). Each and every time, Jarod eludes their grasp, but not before helping some stranger who's been dealt an injustice (just as he once was). Along the way, he hopes to figure out who he is and where he came from.

Each of these 21 episodes moves deftly from Jarod's lonely past to his more satisfying, if precarious present (the human "science project" was constantly videotaped as a boy, hence the abundance of footage from his childhood). It's a worthy successor to paranoid thrillers like The Fugitive and the unjustly obscure Nowhere Man (from X-Files creator Chris Carter), and the droll performance of Weiss (Jeffrey) adds a dose of levity to a concept usually painted with a darker palette. The Pretender ran on NBC for four seasons and was followed by two TV movies, The Pretender 2001 and Isle of the Haunted. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Description

Jarod is a Pretender-a genius whose exceptional intelligence allows him to assume various identities at will, be it doctor, test pilot or lawyer. Taken from his parents at an early age, Jarod was brought up in the Centre, a think-tank facility where he believed his computer-like mind was being used to benefit mankind. But when he learned the simulations he solved were being sold to the highest-bidder no matter what their intent, Jarod escaped. Now on the run, Jarod embarks on a search for his true identity while also attempting to balance out any wrong his simulations have caused by helping people who are as powerless as he once was.

Creatine

Because of a concern a friend of mine had about me taking creatine, I decided it would be wise to do some reasurch on the subject. First here are some sites that I found informitive.

Sport Science Creatine Review
http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/DSH/creatine.html
Creatine FAQ
Creatine
Creatine 'boosts brain power'
Creatine: More then a suplament
ConsumerLab
Creatine and the athlete
Creatine FAQ
Creatine May Boost Brain Power
Creatine The Good, Bad, and Ugly
Creatine Information
Creatine Side Effects

After reviewing these sites and others, I have decided to take creatine. In addition to taking creatine I will deffently be more active in drinking my 64 oz of water a day. I feel that the negitive rumors going around about creatine are not justified. I will take creatine myself for a while and see if it helps any. My expection is that it will, because in so many tests it has, but not for everyone.

6 Events

Read Chapter 1, "The Challenges of Life", from 6 Events. Here is my favorit quote from the chapter, and a good summary of the the chapter.

“If you want to make quantum improvements, change your paradigm, your map.”

Steven R Covey, “6 Events”, pg 10

Bike Ride

I went to bed at 9:00 PM to make sure that I would wake up for the bike ride at 5:00 AM. Well I woke up earilier then I wanted to, I woke up at 4:30 AM. After getting everything together I left to go to the starting point. The direction I was given were bad. So it took me a while to find the place. I finaly found it because I say some other people with bikes driving around so I figured it woud be a good idea to follow them. I started the ride at 8:00 AM and ended at 2:30 PM. So with rests and everything it took 6.5 hours. I am guessing in total I took about an hour or more break. So with everything figured in I beleive the ride took me 5.5 hours or of ride time. So I did an average speed of 18.18 miles/hour. Not bad. I would know more exactly what I did, but my bike computer lost batter power during the ride, dang it. Around 80 miles and again at 95 miles there were some kids giving all the riders who passed by high fives, sure looked like they had a lot of fun. When I got home I took a long nap.

Started reading "6 Events" by Stephen R. Covey today. I am looking forward to studing the patern of the restoration and learning how to apply it in my own life.

Trainer

Since I have my 100 mile bike ride on Saturday. My trainer figured it woud be good for me to take a break for the next couple of days. So we modified my meal plan a bit. On Monday he is going to have me start taking Creatine tablets to speed up the devolipment of my musles. And also some recovery pills to help with recovery after working out.

Sleep & Work

I could not sleep last because I was thinking about my current assignment at work. I am very excited about it.

Work Out

Just got back from working out. It has been a couple days, because I was not feeling well on Saturday and Ben was not feeling well on Monday. I could tell that it has been a while sinse I last worked out, some things were a little hard. I bought a meal replacement that I have been using for inbetween meals. And I can tell a difference. Mainly because I do better when I eat more. When I don't eat enuf work outs are harder on me stombic.
